17-year-old Girl Awarded Scholarship After A Video Of Her Repairing A Forklift in Lagos Went Viral

The Minister of Youths and Sports, Sunday Dare has awarded a scholarship to a 17-year-old Kehinde Esther after a footage of her repairing a forklift made waves on social media.

On last Friday, July 24, a twitters user @thepreciousada shared a video of an interview with the girl who was repairing the forklift at the Classic Bonded Terminal in Okota.

”My dad saw this talented girl at work today repairing a forklift at 17 years old, she wants to study engineering and grow her expertise. He asked me to post this video so she could get some sort of assistance or guidance”

In the video, the young girl aspired to study Engineering.

The video made waves on social media and grabbed the attention of the Minister. He took to his Twitter to award the young girl a scholarship.

The Minister tweeted,

”This is HM. Youth and Sports. Please send her name and number. We will get her a scholarship”
