A popular American actor Sam Lloyd, who was best known for his role in many American movies has died on thursday night in Los Angeles. This was revealed to The Hollywood Reporter, by his agent, Kevin Turner. He was 56.
Lloyd who died at 56 is a talented actor who was best known for his role as New Sacred Heart lawyer Ted Buckland on the long-running NBC-ABC medical comedy Scrubs.
In january 2019, weeks after his wife, Vanessa, gave birth to their first child, he was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour and cancer which later spread to his lungs, jaw, liver and spine.
Meanwhile, other actors have paid tribute to him on social media.
Scrubsoar Zach Braff wrote on twitter:
“Rest In Peace to one of the funniest actors I’ve ever had the joy of working with. Sam Lloyd made me crack up and break character every single time we did a scene together. He could not have been a kinder man. I will forever cherish the time I had with you, Sammy.”
He was also described hi as a kind and sweet guy by “Scrubs” creator Bill Lawrence
Lloyd also as a talented musician, sang in a cappella group The Blanks – that made several appearances on “Scrubs” .
As Buckland, he appeared on 95 episodes of Scrubs , and reprised the role for another Lawrence series, Cougar Town. Lawrence’s Spin City, Seinfeld, Desperate Housewives, Shameless, Modern Family and Happy Together are his other TV credits
His wife, Vanessa and their son Weston survived him
