Amotekun to recruit 3,000 personnel in Oyo

The Chairman of the Oyo State Security Network, Col. Kunle Toogun (retd.), has said the state security outfit also known as Amotekun is set to recruit 3,000 personnel.

Toogun said on Wednesday that the security outfit had received an approval for the recruitment ahead of its take-off.

He said interested applicants should apply for the job online.

He explained that the state had been divided into five zones to ensure effective mobilisation and training of its corps.

The Amotekun boss stated that hunters, members of vigilance groups and Agbekoya resident in various communities who are between 18 and 60 years of age would be considered.

Toogun said, “In line with the mandate given to the Amotekun Corps by Governor Seyi Makinde, everything possible would be done to ensure that Oyo State is not only peaceful but investor-friendly.
