Former Manchester United defender, Gary Neville, has said Mikel Arteta is “punching above his weight” at Arsenal.
Speaking on his personal podcast, Neville claimed Arteta would love the kind of huge transfer budget Frank Lampard has been given at Chelsea this summer.
Arteta took over the Gunners last December and went on to win the FA Cup.
The Spaniard also began the 2020/2021 season with victory in the Community Shield against Liverpool.
Arsenal have also claimed two wins out of two in the Premier League.
“I think Mikel Arteta is punching above his weight. He is going above and beyond the players he has.
“The shape and the organisation, things we have criticised Arsenal for in the past, is good.
“They look like a team which is more cohesive.
“I just think Mikel Arteta would love that £150million that Frank Lampard has got this summer at Chelsea,” Neville said.
