Bandits Kill Two Worshippers, Abduct Several Others In Kaduna Baptist Church Attack

Bandits who attacked Baptist Church, Kakau Daji, Chikun LGA of Kaduna State killed two worshippers during their service on October 31.

Per reports the church was surrounded by the bandits before they began to shoot periodically in no form.

The development was confirmed by Ishaya Jangado, the president of the Kaduna Baptist Convention. He told TheCable that an unconfirmed number of worshippers were also whisked away during the attack.
He said;

“The incident occurred this morning but we don’t know the exact number of people that were kidnapped yet” he said

The Chairman of the Kaduna Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Joseph Hayab commenting on the attack labeled it as “another sad story of how deteriorating our insecurity has become”.

He said;

“Citizens are being killed like chickens with only press statements as consolation. These evil people have troubled us for too long.

I condole the families of the Baptist denomination and Kaduna Christians for this loss and urge our security agencies to separate war against enemies of Nigerians from politics. No one knows who will be the next target.” he said

Recall that some areas in Kaduna State had their telecommunications services suspended as a measure to fight banditry and kidnapping, Chikun LGA is one of them.
