President Muhammadu Buhari held a virtual meeting with state governors on Monday.
This was confirmed by one of his media aides, Bashir Ahmaad, via his Twitter page.
Buhari took part in the video conference meeting at the Council Chambers of the State House, Abuja.
The Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum and Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi, led his counterparts in the online meeting.
Also present at the meeting were the Minister of Finance, Budget, National Planning, Mrs Zainab Ahmed; Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria Mr Godwin Emefiele; and the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr Abubakar Malami.
The newly-installed Chief of Staff, Ibrahim Gambari and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, were also in attendance.
Buhari has, however, cancelled his nationwide broadcast to the nation, which was earlier scheduled for Monday night.
Nigerians are now waiting for the Boss Mustapha-led Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, to bring them up to speed on the next steps, as the first phase of the lockdown ease elapses today.
