“Burna Boy Does Not Owe Anybody An Apology, Leave Him Alone” – Angelique Kidjo To Critics [VIDEO]

Legendary Beninese singer, Angelique Kidjo has jumped to the defense of Nigerian award-winning musician, Damini Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy over claims by some that he is arrogant.

Some critics have described Burna Boy as someone with a condescending attitude but Angelique Kidjo does not agree with them as she has posited that Burna Boy owes no one an explanation for his attitude which many may find haughty.

In an interview with Smooth FM Lagos, Angelique Kidjo who has won the Grammy award three times in her career told critics to leave Burna Boy alone as she pointed to the fact that if it was an African-American showing off that attitude they would say nothing.

She said;

“When you’re talented, yes, you have to have humility but that doesn’t mean you’re going to walk on yourself and apologize. For what? I’m good at what I do. You don’t like it? Sorry! If it was an African-American person having that attitude, nobody would say anything.

“That’s my boy mehn! Let him do his stuff. If you don’t like it, sorry for you… You leave my boy alone!” Angelique Kidjo stated.

In a related news Burna Boy bitterly lamented over his health condition barely 24 hours after turning 30.

The singer seems to be having some health issue as he complained of pain in his joints and he expressed worry about the health complications that awaits him in his new age.
