Popular video director and son of Sir Shina Peters and Clarion Chukwura, Clarence Peters has regained his freedom after being quizzed by the Nigeria Police over the sudden death of popular Nigerian video vixen, Love Divine, better known as ‘Picture Kodak’.
Following the electrocution and subsequent death of video vixen, Love Divine (Kodak) on Wednesday, April 29 at the studio located in Peters’ Omole residence, he had been invited for questioning by the police and was detained pending an autopsy.
The police in Lagos State on Monday, May 4 had confirmed that Peters was still in detention.
According to Bala Elkana, the Lagos State police spokesperson, “My response has been clear. Do we have him in custody, I say we do. Why do you have him in custody? We are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of the dancer.”
“We are also waiting for the autopsy result. Investigation is a natural cause. It is important for him and it is also good for any other person who was there. If nobody has a hand in it, the report will clear everybody. If the result says it is a murder case, the law will take its course. That is exactly why we have him, that is exactly what we are doing,” he had said.
Naijaray gathered that following the autopsy, Peters and his crew have finally gotten a clean bill after four days of thorough police investigation on the death of the dancer.
The investigation included a visit to the director’s home studio where she died and an autopsy conducted by the Lagos State government, which showed the dancer died from the effects of electric shock while charging her phone.
