COVID-19 has done enough damage, it’s time for fuji music –K1 De Ultimate

Legendary Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, says that the coronavirus pandemic has done enough damage to the world and it’s time for fuji music to sooth frayed nerves.

Speaking on the backdrop of the release of his Extended Play album titled, ‘Fuji the Sound’, K1 said, “Fuji has in many ways been a feel-good and jolly music. COVID-19 has done enough damage financially, mentally and emotionally to so many people. Some good Fuji music at this time to douse the tension and serve as a means of escape wouldn’t be a bad idea.”

“I have been working on this album for two years to include some of my favourite new school artistes.”

On the inspiration behind the lead single of the EP titled, ‘Awade’, the veteran singer said, “Just like the other songs on the EP, ‘Awade’ is a blend of authentic fuji music and new school undertones.
