Director K, affectionately known as @dir.k_ on Instagram threw social media into a state of laughter after he shared ‘behind the scenes’ video of the making of Wizkid’s ‘Essence’ music video.
The renowned producer and cinematographer in Nigeria specialize in turning visions into visuals ie, he is well versed in the making of music videos and films. He is one of the filmmakers doing an excellent job in the Nigerian entertainment industry and the world at large.
His minimalist approach and attention to detail are second to none, his wide frame shots and camera movement are so smooth and cinematic. No wonder Wizkid works with him in most of his projects. The latest they did together, is the making of ‘Essence’ music video. His idea of bringing two individuals into a huge space and focusing on them, all while telling a love story is just beautiful.
The making of the video was so amazing as he could be seen from the excerpts he shared, giving the best ideas and hype to Wizkid and Tems who were in their element, singing and moving to the sound of his voice. He sure did a proper mind mapping on this one thus why the video came out perfect.
