Internet Has Made Me Poor - Kano Man Who Has Been Selling Newspapers For 51 Years Decries

According Mallam Bawa, the introduction of the online media has led to the downfall of his business which he has been doing for the past 51 years. Bawa, who is a newspaper vendor made this disclosure to BBC News Pidgin.

The man who kick-started his vendor business at the end of the Nigerian civil war said he had achieved success with it. Mallam, who is a resident of Kano said he built a house, got married and took care of his 15 children through the newspaper business.

However, he lamented to BBC News Pidgin that now the internet has made poverty set upon him.
