The Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has announced the discharge of 9 COVID-19 patients from the isolation centre in the state after receiving their second negative test results.
Makinde made the announcement in a tweet via his Twitter account on Saturday while confirming that the state recorded 30 new cases of the viral infection.
The tweet reads, ”Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force Update, May 23, 2020.
”Nine confirmed COVID-19 patients have received their second NEGATIVE test results and have been discharged.
”This brings the number of discharged cases in Oyo State to fifty-eight.
”Also, the COVID-19 confirmation tests for thirty suspected cases came back POSITIVE.
”Twenty-seven cases are from iSON Xperiences and one each from Ibadan SW, Ibadan SE and Oluyole Local Govt Areas.
”So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State as at 5.30 PM today is 233.
