A man has been nabbed for allegedly having his way with quite a number of ladies he met online.
He is currently in the grips of the Rivers State Police Command and his name was given as Mr Favour Ibama.
Per what we gathered, he has allegedly drugged, raped, and robbed over 20 young ladies after luring them on social media with juicy promises.
The spokesperson for the state police command, SP Nnamdi Omoni confirmed this while parading the suspect who is a father-of-four at the command’s headquarters in Port Harcourt.
The Police Spokesperson claimed that this young man lured his victims with mouth-watering promises after meeting them on social media. Upon meeting them, he drugged and stole from these women after raping them.
The police spokesperson added that the suspect was arrested when he was spotted at a popular supermarket at Ada George, Port Harcourt, by one of his recent victims.
The lady raised an alarm that attracted passers by who apprehended him and handed him over to the Police.
Some of the victims who spoke with PM News explained that after days of chatting with him on social media, he books a date with them in a hotel where he drugs their food, and after they consume the food they will fall asleep only to wake up to discover that he slept with them and made away with all their belongings.
It was also revealed by two of the victims that he transferred N135,000 and 185,000 naira respectively from their phones while they were fast asleep.
Upon his arrest, he denied the allegation in an interview with journalists but admitted making love to his victims after enticing them with enticing amounts of money.
According to him, he never fulfilled his promises, blaming his action on the devil, idleness and the greed of his victims.
He also denied stealing any of their properties or withdrawing money from their accounts.
He stated in an interview that his wife who just gave birth in January is already threatening to divorce him because of his randy lifestyle and alleged criminal tendencies.
Speaking on why he doesn’t pay his victims as agreed, he said:
You know after s*x there’s the tendency to get tired. Like the last girl, I left her in the hotel bed and bolted away while she was fast asleep.
