Anna James, a successful writer, leases a rural farmhouse in England to begin work on The Emma Hart Mysteries, the latest in a series of young crime novels. The location appears idyllic at first, but her tranquility is soon disturbed by the presence of an agitated spirit – Winifred Meeks, the former lady of the house.
While Anna works on her novel – a deadline looms – she also resolves to learn more about the property’s history, unknowingly bringing her closer to a terrifying meeting with the sad individual who still resides behind the walls of Seaview House.
