Nigerians clamor on social media as IGP creates SWAT as replacement to SARS

Nigerians have reacted to creation of a new unit named Special Weapons and Tactics ( SWAT) Team, as replacement for the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad ( SARS ).

According to a statement from the Force Public Relations Officer DCP Frank Mba, it is expected that the unit will fill the gaps arising from the dissolution of the defunct

SARS . He added that recruitment has commenced for operatives of the new unit.

Nigerians have now reacted to the announcement and also expressed their fear over the new police unit.
