Nigeria's capital, Abuja tops list of confirmed COVID-19 cases for third consecutive day 

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has topped the list of states with new cases in Nigeria, for the third consecutive day.

On Saturday night, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced 386 new cases in 17 states and the FCT.

While 130 new infections were recorded in the FCT, Lagos was second with 65.

Total number of recoveries have now topped 20,000.

The number of discharged patients rose from 19,565 to 20,087, while the fatality figure has increased from 879 to 883.

Nigeria currently has 43,537 confirmed COVID-19 cases.
