NYSC Latest News Update Portal: The Director-General, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim, has warned Corps members against attempts to stage manage their rejection by employers.

He said Corps Employers had been mandated to report such attempts and that appropriate penalties would be applied on erring Corps members.

Ibrahim gave the warning while addressing Corps members in Adamawa State during his 2020 Batch ‘B’ Stream Two tour of Orientation Camps.

The Director-General advised them to accept their posting to any endeavours and locations of Primary Assignment in good faith, and use the platform of the National Service to contribute to the unity and development of the country.

“I enjoin you to demonstrate high level of discipline and diligence in your places of Primary Assignment. Be prompt in attendance and abide by workplace rules as also expected of the permanent members of Staff.

” Try and add value to the organizations you will be posted to. Your employers can offer you permanent job in appreciation of your outstansing performance or, at least, give you letters of recommendation, which will help as you seek engagement in other endeavours, ” he added.

Ibrahim urged the Corps members to continue to observe all the COVID-19 prevention protocols both during and after the Orientation Course.
He further told them to take a cue from their predecessors by contributing to the efforts at containing the pandemic.
