A Ghanaian pupil who went viral after photos of him eating fufu on vacation day popularly known as ‘our day’, is set to be taken to Canada courtesy of a kind-hearted man.
Daniel’s photos went viral last week while marking the ‘our day’ in his own small way.
Following the circulation of pictures of him eating fufu, being an unusual choice of food for such occasions, Daniel’s story caught the attention of many on social media.
It was learnt that the boy said that he had wanted to eat rice on the ‘our day’ but it was impossible, so decided to take fufu to school. The young boy’s father is said to be deceased and he has been living with his mentally ill mother.
His plight touched the hearts of many social media users, so a man decided to offer some help to Daniel and thus asked people to help locate him.
A lady named Wendy Boatemaa Ofori helped to locate the little boy. She disclosed that Daniel is a pupil of the Nkwantapong D/A Primary School which is located in the Bosome Freho District in the Ashanti Region.
The lady then travelled to the schoolboy’s village to meet his family. Also, Owusu Afriyie, the man who promised to sponsor Daniel’s education to college revealed that another man identified as Musa Ghana offered to adopt Daniel and relocate him to Canada.
