The Students’ Union Government of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) Ijebu-Ode Ogun state has denied the news been circulating online that one of the students of the institution named Daniel Johnson stabbed his girlfriend to death.
Reacting to the news, the Students’ Union President Soneye Abdul-Azeez Lekan said the news is fake and the incident happened last friday not on Saunday as it was reported. “Contrary to these false reports, the incident occurred on Friday 9th of October ,2020 at about 10PM.” he said.
Lekan confirmed that the lady is alive and she is recuperating. “I want to use this medium to debunk the rumour that the lady is dead and that the boy is on the run at the moment. The lady is recuperating well at the hospital and the perpetrator has been in detention since Saturday 10th of October, 2020.
In fact, at the time of writing this statement, myself and few other Union officers are at the hospital to check the wellbeing of the lady.” Lekan said
The Students’ Union President ask all media platforms that have posted wrong information about the incident to pull it down under 24hours. Else, legal action will be taken against such platform.
