‘The Music Industry Is Kinder To Male Artistes Than Female Ones’ – Don Jazzy

Nigerian musician and music executive, Michael Collins Ajereh who is known widely in showbiz as Don Jazzy has given a hint about why male artistes tend to flourish in the Nigerian music industry than their female counterparts.

According to the CEO of the Mavin Records Label, the music industry is kinder to male musicians hinting that is why they flourish than their female counterparts.

The music executive was co-owner of the defunct Mo’ Hits Records record label with Dbanj made this known when speaking with Nigerian on-air media personalities, Toolz and Gbemi in a recent interview.

In his view, women suffer adding that over the years, he has seen that it’s a difficult market for women.

In his submission, he said;

“The industry is generally kinder to male artistes, and I don’t know why. In this music industry, I have noticed that women suffer. Over the years, I have seen that it’s a difficult market for women. Everybody wants to have sex with them and how many people are they going to have sex with? It’s ridiculous.”
