Imo state youths took to the streets to stage a demonstration and raise concern about the state’s deplorable road situation.
Residents have been concerned about the Nekede-Ihiagwa road for months. To compel the government to act, young people staged a photo shoot on the dangerous road.
The teens can be seen grilling in the middle of muddy water and swimming in the murky water on the road in images from the scene.
Prior to President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to Imo State in September this year, it was reported that the president would commission the Nekede-Ihiagwa road, among other projects.
However, images reveal that the road is still in bad shape, and residents are working to improve it.
