Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has given the latest updates on deals for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Gabriel Magalhaes.
Aubameyang, who has one year left on his current deal, is expected to sign a three-year extension.
The Gunners are also close to wrapping up a 27m deal for Magalhaes, who will join from Lille.
Arteta, speaking to the media ahead of this weekend’s Community Shield game against Liverpool, expressed his optimism over both men.
On Aubameyang, he said: “I keep being positive. We have some really good talks with him and his agents and I am pretty confident we will find an agreement soon. That’s my feeling.”
He added on Magalhaes: “When we get it [done], I will be very pleased. He’s a player we followed and were determined that he was the right profile for us to improve our squad. If we are able to finalise it we will be delighted.”
