Nigerian anti-graft body, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC has shone some light on the word ‘hustle’ as used by a Nigerian man to mean fraud.
The man on Twitter identified as Kola Oyekan described the word hustle as fraud, obtain illicitily or by forceful action. He urged the EFCC to know better in this case.
EFCC was quick to notice the comment as it educated the man on the forms of hustle we have.
The man wrote: The word hustle also means fraud, obtain illicitily or by forceful action. EFCC should know better.
EFCC replied and wrote: Thank you for your comment, Mr. Oyekan. However, we are also aware that the word ‘hustle’ does not only mean “to obtain illicitly…”. It can also mean “a state of great activity” or “to proceed or work rapidly or energetically”. #EFCCKnowsBetter Kind regards.
The comment generated lots of reactions as netizens slid under the comment section and reacted.

@Oladimejifash1: What I observe this days is that this ‘hustle’ on a thing reduces armed robbery,it’s actually abstain youth in engaging from mid night robbery and stealing,now that EFCC is after them the young hustlers,in years to come don’t be surprise when the youth start knocking on your door
