Unknown gunmen kidnapped a senior police officer called ASP Clement Amoko affiliated with the Edo State Police Command.
According to reports, the gunmen stormed his residence in Benue on Sunday, March 7 and took him away in the sight of his wife and children.
The kidnappers have already asked for a ransom from family members according to Daily Trust.
Confirming the incident, the State Police Spokesperson, DSP Princewill Osaigbovo said that efforts to secure the freedom of their colleague is underway.
“The DPO of Ogida division just confirmed the incident, investigation is on the rescue the officer.”
