President Muhammadu Buhari has joined other Presidents and world leaders to wish Donald Trump of the United States a quick recovery from COVID-19.
A statement to NAIJARAY, signed by his Senior Special Assistant, Garba Shehu, said the president joins all citizens of US in prayers for a quick and full recovery of Trump and his wife, Melanie.
Trump announced on Friday that he and his wife have tested positive to COVID-19.
The statement said that Buhari “notes with sympathy, that the incident of COVID-19 in the White House manifests the challenge posed by the pandemic across the world, and difficulty in containing the spread.”
While wishing the American First Family speedy turnaround in their current health status, President Buhari urged for compliance to protocols among Nigerians and adherence to medical doctors advise, particularly epidemiologists.
