Sule, head of team investigating deaths in Niger State dies 

Niger State Governor, Abubakar Bello, has expressed shock over the death of Ibrahim Sule, a former Commissioner of Health.

Until his death, he was the Chairman of a 7-man committee appointed by the governor to investigate the high rate of deaths in private hospitals.

Bello, in a statement on Monday by his spokesman, Mary Berje, described the deceased as a committed, dedicated and hardworking personality.

He said the deceased played a significant role in the development of Niger State

The governor and Sule served as commissioners under the Babangida Aliyu administration.

Bello noted that death was inevitable and that the wealth of knowledge and experience of the deceased would be missed.

He prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased and for Allah to grant him Aljannatu Firdaus.

Sule, a renowned consultant gynaecologist, also served as Commissioner for Works and Water Resources at different times.

He was at the forefront of the establishment of the College of Medicine for Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai.

He is survived by a wife, four children and grandchildren.
